Manchester United’s new signing Anthony Martial has thanked the home fans after his incredible debut for the Reds.
Martial scored Man United’s third goal to wrap up a convincing 3-1 victory over Liverpool just 21 minutes after coming on as a second half substitute.
The Frenchman replaced Juan Mata and had a dream debut, netting in front of the Stretford End to secure all three points for United.
Martial has already been written off by many in the media, given his transfer fee and he did everything he could to silence his critics. He made his mark on the game with the first chance he had and showed Old Trafford exactly what he is capable of.
I'm Very happy for the victory thank you all for your support @ManUtd

It was a stunning first appearance from the 19-year-old, the type not seen very often. He has already massively upped his stake with United fans, who were delighted with their new hero’s performance.
Martial will now be hoping to establish himself properly in the first team, starting with the trip to PSV Eindhoven on Tuesday. The youngster will look forward to possibly representing United in the Champions League for the first time.
