Juan Mata expressed his delight to fans after Manchester United beat Liverpool 3-1 in the Premier League.
The Spaniard started on the right wing and struggled to really make an impact in the first half.
However, he bagged an assist from a well-worked free-kick as Daley Blind gave Man United the lead after Mata’s perfectly weighted pass.
The 27-year-old was eventually replaced by new signing Anthony Martial, who took the roof off Old Trafford when he scored at the Stretford End.
Mata attested to the atmosphere at the Theatre of Dreams, as United’s fans got behind the team to help produce an inspired second half performance.

As always, the Old Trafford faithful were in full voice for a big game and they were treated to United’s best performance of the season.
United don’t play in front of their own fans in the Premier League for two weeks and Mata will hope the traveling supporters can help them to a win against PSV Eindhoven on Tuesday.
