A host of Manchester United players have taken to Twitter to wish Luke Shaw well after the defender was badly injured against PSV Eindhoven on Tuesday night.
Shaw suffered a double fracture in his right leg after a challenge in the opposition box and the early signs are not good. Man United went on to lose the match 2-1 to add insult to injury but the result was overshadowed by the incident involving Shaw.
Louis van Gaal expects the Englishman to be out of action for approximately six months, a devastating blow for the youngster who has started the season so well.
After the game, a number of United players expressed their support for their teammate:
Sad about the defeat but much sadder about Luke's injury. Come back soon my friend pic.twitter.com/VHO6gusvF2

Shaw’s injury certainly affected many of the United players and they will all be hoping that their teammate can make a swift recovery.
Having been one of the most consistent performers this season, it is a huge blow to the whole team.
Shaw has been one of United’s brightest sparks since the beginning of pre-season and was beginning to show signs of becoming a top class left-back. However, at just 20 years of age, Shaw has time on his side and United fans will hope that, no matter how long he is out for, he comes back stronger than ever.
