Andreas Pereira completed a career milestone tonight by making his full debut for Manchester United.
The 19-year-old started against Ipswich Town and enjoyed a ream debut with a fantastic free-kick that gave him his first senior goal in his first full appearance.
However, it’s more about the fact he was in the starting XI tonight rather than his actual performance because that’s what he has been working towards over the last 18 months.
Pereira has gone from training with the first-team to making his debut against Spurs last season, to finishing runners-up at the U20s World Cup and now he has scored his first ever goal for the club. He’ll be delighted with that progress.
