The agent of Bayern Munich’s Robert Lewandowski has ruled out a move to Manchester United or City for the striker because the weather is too bad.
Lewandowski has been a hot topic since he scored five times in nine minutes against Wolfsburg on Tuesday.
However, the player’s representative, Cezary Kucharski, hinted that his client may prefer a move to Spain rather than the north of England.
“Games like the one against Wolfsburg immensely help a player increase his value,” Kucharski said.
“I have a plan for the rest of Robert’s career in my head. Could that plan take him to Manchester?
“It’s always raining over there. Munich is much more beautiful and a better place to live. Spain? That is quite possibly the best environment for a professional footballer.”
Lewandowski is a superb forward and one that would immediately make Man United a much better team but it is hard for players to resist the lure of Barcelona or Real Madrid if they come calling. United have experienced it themselves, with the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo and David de Gea having their heads turned by Madrid in recent years. Thankfully, the latter ended up staying at Old Trafford.
