Bastian Schweinsteiger‘s influence at Manchester United has been growing with every game and he could face his biggest test today if he starts against Arsenal.
Away at the Emirates, Man United have their toughest game of the season so far and the midfield battle against Arsenal is certainly where the game is going to be won or lost.
He might not play the box-to-box role any more which made him such an incredible player but he’s lost none of his intelligence or ability to control a game, hence why he’s become such an integral part of Louis van Gaal‘s team.

The big question is whether Louis van Gaal starts Schweinsteiger or Carrick. Both players are similar in their style and play better when partnered with Morgan Schneiderlin, rather than alongside each other, so it’s going to be very interesting to see who the boss goes for.
Whoever plays is in for a tough game as Arsenal are under huge pressure to win after a poor loss against Olympiacos and they won’t go down lightly at home.
United against Arsenal always used to be a battle and the teams playing together was like going to war. That might not be the case any more but Schweinsteiger’s built for big games, he loves the occasion and I for one can’t wait to see how he plays.
