Luke Shaw has visited Manchester United’s training ground for the first time today since suffering his horror leg break against PSV Eindhoven.
The 20-year-old’s immediate rehabilitation saw him undergo multiple operations on his leg and he has been recovering back at home after being released from hospital.
Every step is a milestone for Luke in his recovery process and simply visiting Carrington will be a big morale boost for him on his long journey back to full fitness.
First day back at the training ground today, nice to be back 😊

Shaw’s absence has really hurt Man United’s quality as a team and that was most apparent in the 3-0 defeat to Arsenal on Sunday.
Alexis Sanchez tore Ashley Young and Matteo Darmian apart in the full-back positions and although we’re not saying Shaw would have stopped it from happening, he certainly would have given United far more protection at left-back.
Regardless of United’s current form and how we’re missing Shaw, it’s simply great to hear he’s already been back to the training ground and Louis van Gaal would no doubt have been delighted to see him.
Shaw’s got the full support of football fans all around the world who want to see him fully recover and with the best medical facilities available to him, he couldn’t be in a better environment to achieve that goal.
