Anthony Martial has revealed he is currently taking English classes in order to help him adapt to life at Manchester United.
The 19-year-old currently has Morgan Schneiderlin as his translator at Man United but is obviously keen to settle properly so is taking all the necessary steps needed to do so.
Communication is key at every level in football and it’s encouraging to see Martial using his initiative (or being told by Louis van Gaal…) in order to make it easy for him as possible.
Speaking to RMC France, Martial said: “I am taking english courses; it’s difficult but I will get there.”
Not everybody takes it upon themselves to learn English when they move to the Premier League. Anderson spent seven years at the club but still couldn’t string a full sentence together.
It’s been a huge amount of change for Martial and his young wife and child; a new club, a new environment, a new country and a new life, a much more public one at United, has all happened to him in a short space of time. The fact he’s been able to perform as well as he has in that context is phenomenal and the only way is up.
Once he’s learned the basics of English and feels more comfortable in Manchester, Martial can continue to improve and hopefully keep banging in the goals.
