Reports suggested Rojo’s failure to join up on the pre-season tour and failure to fully disclose his hamstring injury problems were two reasons why van Gaal wasn’t happy with the Argentinian.
Last night, Rojo responded to these stories with a couple of simple retweets of the following messages on Twitter which alluded to the fact there was no breakdown in van Gaal’s relationship with him at all. Loosely translated, they both say van Gaal has no issue at all with Rojo.
Marcos Rojo no se recuperó del desgarro y por eso es baja. Aclaración? No tiene ningún problema con Van Gaal ni se está buscando club.

That puts that one to bed then, at least for the time being and we all know it could crop up again in the future.
Van Gaal is no stranger to fallouts at Man United having already clashed with the likes of Victor Valdes and arguably Robin van Persie who he let go in the summer despite him being his Dutch captain at the 2014 World Cup just 12 months earlier.
There’s just as much chance of that happening with Rojo as any of his team-mates but he’s taken the decision to cool the rumours, at least for the time being.
