Sevilla president Jose Castro has ruled out the possibility of signing Manchester United keeper Victor Valdes.
The Spaniard has been training with the youth teams at Man United and it is unlikely he will play for the first-team again.
There has reportedly been interest from La Liga for Valdes’ services but Castro revealed he has no intention of signing the keeper.
“Valdes is not an option,” he said.
The 33-year-old built a sterling reputation at Barcelona in years gone by but it appears his career is fizzling out in limp fashion.
Valdes has won practically everything there is to win in the game but van Gaal has shown that the manager is by far and away the most important figure at the club. United are reportedly considering cancelling the player’s contract but only if he joins a team outside of the Premier League.
