Anthony Martial has got himself a new pair of Nike Mercurial boots ahead of France’s games in the international break over the next two weeks.
The 19-year-old has decided to have AM9 written on the side of his boots which is of course his number for Manchester United, which is a nice touch.
Right now, Martial wears No.20 for France as Olivier Giroud is their No.9 but there is every chance that will change in the future as he grows in importance for his national team.
Martial only made his debut for France in the last international break but after four goals and an assist in his first six games for Man United, France manager Didier Deschamps will be intrigued to see how he has developed over the last few months and may well give him his full debut.
As France are hosting Euro 2016 they do not need to qualify so every international break is an opportunity for Deschamps to test his players and Martial surely has to be high up on his list.
France have got a great young squad at the moment including Paul Pogba, Antoine Griezmann and Raphael Varane, so it will be exciting to see how United’s Martial settles into the side and whether he can earn himself a starting spot for Euro 2016.
