Luke Shaw‘s recovery speed has taken everybody by surprise so far and seeing him walking around on crutches in Manchester less than a month after his horror leg break is astounding.
The 19-year-old was pictured in Manchester on Wednesday with his red crutches and leather jacket on, looking pretty stylish for somebody who most expected to be sitting in a bed recuperating.
It’s amazing how quickly Shaw seems to be getting through the stages of recovery and the craziest thing of all is that only a few weeks after snapping his leg in two, Shaw is back wearing a pair of skinny jeans. How does he even possibly get in those?
What’s more astounding is the fact Shaw doesn’t seem to be wearing any cast. He may well have had his leg pinned which leads to potentially different treatments but it’s staggering seeing him already in a pair of jeans walking on crutches.
I’d like to know what sort of treatment he has been having. It took me six weeks of no weight bearing to start putting any weight at all on a fractured ankle, let alone a double leg break (and I certainly didn’t wear any skinny jeans during that time).
All questions aside, it’s fantastic seeing Shaw staying positive and even more so to see him out and about, so long as it was under strict medical advice.
At this rate, Shaw will be back playing football in no time but he’ll have to take his fully recovery in short stages to avoid complications.
