Manchester United midfielder Juan Mata has spoken about his love of football from an early age.
The Spaniard is a naturally gifted footballer and has shown his ability on numerous occasions this season having started the campaign brilliantly.
Mata has been one of Man United’s most consistent performers since he signed from Chelsea in January 2014 and has quickly become a cult hero at Old Trafford and is always eager to interact with the fans.
He opened up about his footballing background and how he got into the sport from a young age.
“I always remember myself with a ball. My dad used to play so from the day I was born football was in my blood. I used to play with my sister and with friends and then at my first club so my life was always about football,” Mata said.
“Obviously there was studying and other things I did but I always felt football was my thing. As I got older I moved to Madrid, then to Valencia and then to England – everything went so quickly. I feel very lucky to be a professional footballer.”
Mata is one of the classiest footballers around and United fans have really taken to him since his arrival from Chelsea. It is evident from the way he plays and enjoys the game that he has huge passion for the sport and has done so since he was young.
