David de Gea was in fantastic form for Spain in their win over Ukraine in the final Euro 2016 group match.
The goalkeeper was kept busy by a dangerous Ukraine side and on more than one occasion was needed to keep Spain out of trouble.
There’s no doubting that De Gea is one of the best goalkeepers in the world yet Vicente del Bosque still stays loyal to Iker Casillas but performances like this from Manchester United’s No.1 will surely make him question his decisions.
Man United fans were certainly happy to see De Gea replicating his club form away on Spain duty:
De Gea is some boy. Real Madrid should have tried to sign him last summer tbh.

Spain struggling to an extent in the first half. De Gea's great save & Ukraine finishing is keeping them ahead. Good to see Mario score.

It’s frustrating to see Casillas acting as a hurdle for De Gea’s career with Spain but all he can do is put in performances like he did against Ukraine – the rest is up to Del Bosque changing his mind.
Heading into the tricky Autumn and Winter period with Manchester United, De Gea will be very focused on keeping in great form because without that, there’s no chance he will be Spain’s No.1 goalkeeper this summer for Euro 2016.
