Manchester United fans won’t be surprised to hear that Anthony Martial enjoyed a strong full debut with France.
The 19-year-old got himself an assist within the first five minutes against Denmark and built on that in what was another accomplished and mature performance from the teenage sensation.
Didier Deschamps decided to bring him into the starting XI on the left-wing and he certainly repaid him. It was the perfect way for Martial to force himself into the manager’s plans for Euro 2016.
If you didn’t get to see him action, check out the highlights video which shows all of his touches from the game. One of our favourite moments came after 40 seconds in the video when he drives past defenders in the box with a real burst of confident pace.
It was the sort of performance which Martial has been putting in every week at Man United and that sort of consistency for such a young player on the biggest stage is certainly one of the most impressive aspects of his game so far.
