Manchester United have announced a partnership with New Era which will see them produce official headwear for the club.
The New Era partnership is the latest in a string of corporate partnerships which extends Man United’s global reach and increases their revenue opportunities.
As we’ve seen over the last two years, this makes it possible for United to spend big in the transfer window and it’s about time that the revenue generated by the club was put back into it, rather than simply getting spent on interest repayments on the Glazers’ loans.

United fans don’t like the over commercialisation of United but at this stage the behemoth has become almost unstoppable. That being said, there’ll be no complaints so long as the improved revenues are reflected in the transfer market.
One person who might not be overjoyed with the New Era announcement is Rio Ferdinand, seeing as he has had his #5 branded hats for some time now and this New Era partnership will no doubt affect that. Rio, you’ve been merked.
