Manchester United potential 4-2-3-1 vs Everton: Rooney dropped, Herrera starts

by Sam Peoples

Goodison Park has become a bogey ground for Manchester United in recent years and the game on Saturday is going to be a tough one.

It has been made harder by the two week wait following an embarrassment away at Arsenal and the main question around the starting XI revolves on one player – will Wayne Rooney start?

We’re taking a look at a potential XI where, god forbid, Louis van Gaal chooses to rest his captain because of his poor form and his injury during the international break may well rule him out of the game regardless.

In his place we’ve put Ander Herrera as the No.10 role is where he really flourishes. That being said, there are question marks over his fitness too but in this potential XI we’ve give him a place.
