Memphis Depay endured one of the worst nights of his young career to date in a torrid performance from Netherlands against Czech Republic.
Needing a win to have any chance of keeping their Euro 2016 qualifying hopes alive, Netherlands looked like a collection of unhappy individuals rather than a team of players looking to give everything to give themselves an opportunity to sneak into the play-offs.
Memphis couldn’t do anything to change the course of the game and he’ll want to put his performance to the back of his mind as soon as possible, as will the rest of the Netherlands side.
Considering his lifestyle not exactly sure whether Memphis having the summer off is good news or not…Daley on the other hand #mufc

Huntelaar not a fan of Van Persie. Van Persie not a fan on Memphis. You kind of see it on the pitch too. A lot of individuals and no team.

Huntelaar & RVP up front, Memphis & El Ghazi on the wings, Sneijder & Wijnaldum in the centre and the Dutch still can't score? That is bad.

What a fall from grace it has been for Netherlands since Louis van Gaal left as coach. He steered them to a third place finish at the 2014 World Cup but just over 12 months later they have been unable to qualify for Euro 2016.
Serious questions have to be asked and the bad news for both Memphis and Daley Blind is that they’ll now have to sit and watch next summer as the tournament takes place, rather than being involved, and that will hurt.
