Jamie Redknapp: Manchester United’s Anthony Martial will be a ‘superstar’ someday

Jamie Redknapp believes Manchester United’s Anthony Martial has been the standout player in the Premier League so far this season.

Martial has been nothing short of superb since his £36m move to Man United on transfer deadline day.

The young Frenchman registered memorable strikes against the likes of Southampton and Liverpool and he was awarded the Premier League Player of the Month award this week.

Redknapp insisted Martial will be a “superstar” someday.

When asked who has been the standout player in the Premier League this season, Redknapp said: “Anthony Martial. It’s been extraordinary what he has done.

“There was so much pressure on him because of that extortionate transfer fee but I’ve not seen many young men as confident and skilful. He is going to be a superstar.”

Martial is only 19 but he plays like a seasoned veteran. Calm and composed on the ball and able to bring his teammates into play, the forward really does look the real deal. He will be looking to continue his good run when United travel to Goodison Park to face Everton this weekend.
