Louis Saha tips Anthony Martial to fulfil potential but questions Romelu Lukaku

by Sid Choudhary

Louis Saha has had his say on Anthony Martial and Romelu Lukaku ahead of the clash between Manchester United and Everton this weekend.

Both strikers have been in good form going into the game between their two sides on Saturday with just three points separating the teams. Martial has had a great start to life at Man United and will be looking to continue his good form at Goodison Park.

Everton’s Lukaku already has five goals in the Premier League this season and will definitely provide a stern test for United’s defence. The Belgian striker has been Everton’s main man this season and, with a hat-trick against United already under his belt, he will be hoping to help his team draw level on points with the visitors.

Both players are promising but Saha believes Martial will achieve more in the long-term.

“I’m more confident that Martial will definitely fulfil his potential,” Saha said.

“Lukaku has immense quality. You don’t score so many goals at his age without it. Martial is a little bit behind him in terms of experience and showing his talent.

“But he’s got that mentality to try to work hard every day. I hope Lukaku proves me wrong.

“If I’m saying it, it’s just to make him realise that as an Everton fan and a Lukaku fan, I want to see more.”

Saha was a prolific striker for United but injuries meant he struggled to ever get a real run in the team and he never seemed to fulfil his potential. The former Fulham striker hopes the same doesn’t happen to Lukaku.

He added: “He could be one of the best strikers you can find anywhere in the world. He is completely unstoppable on his day. But on other days it’s a bit different.”

It is a huge game for both sides, one that could be decided by the odd goal, meaning the strikers will play a pivotal role in the game.

Martial is coming into the game on the back of his full international debut and his confidence will be sky-high as he hopes to keep the pressure on Manchester City at the top of the table.
