Anthony Martial made the difference for Manchester United on what was an extremely tricky game against CSKA Moscow.
For the first hour of the game, the 19-year-old found himself stifled by CSKA’s defence who continued to double up on him but he certainly tried his most to have an impact.
That eventually paid off when he drifted inside and expertly headed home from an Antonio Valencia cross to give Man United a crucial equaliser.
It was a brilliant finish from a player who is continuing his excellent start to life at United and it gets him off the mark in the UEFA Champions League.
United really needed that moment of magic from Martial on a night where we were very much struggling to break down CSKA. His pace caused plenty of problems but ultimately it was a pin point header which got us back in it.
Wayne Rooney was very sloppy in the centre-forward position so Louis van Gaal will really have to consider who he should start up front against Manchester City because Martial made an immediate difference as soon as he drifted inside.
