Morgan Schneiderlin was a real force in midfield for Manchester United against CSKA Moscow and surely has to be one of the first names on the team-sheet this weekend for the Manchester derby.
Man United were cumbersome going forward until Anthony Martial‘s goal changed the tempo but throughout the full 90 minutes, Schneiderlin was in control whenever the ball came near him.
His stats speak for themselves. On what was a tough night for United, Schneiderlin remained calm and that really played into our hands once Martial equalised because we had real composure in possession.
That’s two games in a row that Schneiderlin has started and arguably been man of the match. For a player who Louis van Gaal decided to drop for a succession of games, the Frenchman surely has shown he has to be one of the first names on the team-sheet right now.
When Schneiderlin was at Southampton, we craved over having him at United. Now he’s our player, we need to be making the most of him and building our midfield set-up around him. He’s shown how important he can be in the last two performances and he’s more than good enough to keep that up consistently.
