Ander Herrera is readying himself for the biggest game of Manchester United’s season so far, the derby against Manchester City.
The Spaniard is in good form going into the huge clash after a man of the match display in Mane United’s last Premier League game, a 3-0 win away at Everton. Herrera bagged a goal and an assist against the Toffees and put in an all-round top display to secure a vital win.
City will come to Old Trafford looking to stay ahead of United in the league table, as they currently sit top of the league two points ahead of the Reds who are in third place.

Herrera will be expected to start given the form he has shown in United’s last couple of games. The 26-year-old has been playing in the No.10 role and will be hoping he can keep his place in the side for such a huge game, and the majority of United supporters will want to see him on the pitch as well.
The midfielder’s energy and neat interplay int he final third make him a joy to watch and there is no doubt that the Reds play some lovely football when Herrera is on the pitch. His understanding with the likes of Juan Mata and Anthony Martial allows him to bring other players into the game and drive United forward, something that has been missing at times this season.
Herrera will want to keep up his good run against City, knowing that a win could send out a huge statement to the rest of the league that United are truly a huge part of the title race.
