Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea has signed a new endorsement deal with Adidas, and a whole host of teammates have welcomed him to the company.

De Gea also signed a new deal at Man United, which will keep him at the club until 2019. The Spaniard was linked with a move to Real Madrid throughout the summer but has since pledged his future to the Reds and has now done the same with Adidas.

Ander Herrera, Ashley Young Juan Mata and Bastian Schweinsteiger are all represented by Adidas already and they were all evidently delighted that the 24-year-old shot-stopper has joined them.

United fans were ecstatic when De Gea decided to sign a new contract at the club. The ex-Atletico Madrid man has been one of the sides most consistent performers over the past few seasons and has won the clubs player of the year award for two years running.

De Gea is an integral part of the team and his new endorsement deal with the same company who sponsor United is obviously a huge coup for Adidas. The goalkeeper is quickly become considered one of the best in the world and United will be thankful they still have him, after the fiasco this summer.

De Gea will want to impress on his Adidas debut when Manchester City visit Old Trafford on Sunday. The Sky Blues are two points ahead of United in the Premier League table and will be hoping they can extend their lead over their bitter rivals but if the United stopper is on top form, it will be hard for anyone to beat him on his day.
