Manchester United midfielder Ander Herrera is loving every second of his time at Old Trafford.
The Spaniard has quickly become a fan favourite at the club and it is easy to see why as his performances have been nothing short of exceptional since he joined from Athletic Bilbao. Herrera is into his second season at Man United and it is clear just how much he loves the club.
The 26-year-old put in a man of the match display in United’s last Premier League outing, a 3-0 win over Everton, and he will be hoping for more of the same in the coming games. However, despite his good run of form, Herrera is always looking to improve, something United fans will be delighted to hear.
“I am ambitious, I want to play better and better,” Herrera told Sky Sports. “I am improving, when you love football you are always thinking about getting better. I can improve a lot.
“My aim is to try to play as many games as possible and to help the team. I am very happy with my development. I am living the dream – I am playing for Manchester United, for one of the best in the world.”
Supporters of the club will know that should Herrera improve further, they will have a brilliant player on their hands. The team almost always seems to play better whenever the Spaniard is in the side and his displays have meant it is hard for Louis van Gaal to drop him.
Herrera wants to play as many games as possible for United and the fans want to see him involved as often as possible as well. His energetic performances and drive through the middle of the aprk has become a feature of the teams displays and they will all want more of the same for the visit of Manchester City on Sunday. Herrera will want to keep his place in the side for the huge clash, knowing a win will take the Reds ahead of their city rivals in the Premier League table.
