Manchester United midfielder Andreas Pereira was left disappointed after his side crashed out of the Capital One Cup on Wednesday.
Man United lost on penalties to Middlesbrough after a goalless 120 minutes, with Pereira the only player in a red shirt to find the back of the net from their spot-kick.
The Brazilian was making his second consecutive start in the competition after making his first-team debut against Ipswich Town in the previous round.
Pereira was one of the few positives United fans could take from an otherwise dismal game for the Reds. The 19-year-old started in the No.10 role but was moved around during the game to accommodate for the likes of Marouane Fellaini and Anthony Martial.

The winger will be hoping he has done enough to impress Louis van Gaal with another encouraging performance at Old Trafford. Having scored in the previous round from a delightful free-kick, Pereira is a player that many United fans want to see more of. His close control and silky dribbling make him a joy to watch and could be exactly what the team are missing this season.
Van Gaal is quick to give youngsters their chance, as seen with Martial and now Jesse Lingard, and Pereira is making a good case to be involved with the first-team more often. He is doing well whenever he is selected and it may just be a matter of time before he is a regular in United’s starting XI.
