Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang eyes La Liga move over Premier League

Borussia Dortmund striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has revealed that he would love to move to Spain to play in La Liga when he eventually decides to leave Germany.

The striker has got off to a flying start this season and his performances have meant he has been linked with a whole host of clubs all over Europe.

Barcelona are reportedly interested in signing the 26-year-old and the Nou Camp could be his preferred destination, given his affinity to Spain.

Aubameyang’s pace, trickery and finishing would cause problems in most leagues around the world but he can expect to score a lot of goals if he does in fact move to Spain. Attacking players tend to find La Liga much easier to play in given the free-flowing nature of the football and it could suit Aubameyang perfectly.

“One day I’ll leave to play in another league,” he said, also adding that he is “100% committed” to Dortmund.

“After that contract I have this dream to play in Spain. I hope that will happen but when? I don’t know.

“Lots of people think that the Premier League would good for me but my mum is Spanish and I really have that dream to play over there.

“After that maybe one day the Premier League but for the moment I aim to one day play in Spain.”

It is a blow for Premier League clubs that the former St. Etienne man is not looking for a move to England. Manchester United in particular could have been keeping one eye on the striker, given their problems in the department this season. The Reds have been timid in front of goal and have looked short of ideas, something Aubameyang would certainly fix.

However, given his comments, it seems his future lays elsewhere. Man United will have to turn their attention to a new target and will be hoping to find someone to add some spark to the forward line.
