Manchester United midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin wants his team to ‘keep believing,’ despite their poor run of form.
Man United have failed to score in three consecutive games for the first time in the best part of 11 years and Schneiderlin is equally as frustrated as the fans regarding their efforts in front of goal.
Schneiderlin will want the Reds to turn their fortunes around when CSKA Moscow visit in the Champions League, knowing scoring goals and getting all three points are a must. United simply have to win their remaining home games in the competition and their French midfielder is not worried about their poor scoring run.
“It’s frustrating when you don’t win games,” he admitted.
“We have the players to score goals and we will score goals. It’s not a worry for me. We’ve had the chances and sometimes it’s just a matter of taking the time to make a good choice.” He told manutd.com.
“It will come if we keep believing. We will keep clean sheets, that’s not a problem, and we will win games but we need to make sure it comes quickly.”
United’s shortcomings in the final third have been well documented and the side are coming under a lot of pressure, deservedly so as we are going to start falling away in all competitions if it continues.
Louis van Gaal has come under criticism for the brand of football that his side have been playing and he will hope that they can turn possession into goals and get their season back on track.
