Schweinsteiger really bossed the midfield against a resolute West Brom side and although there were moments where he could have made a better decision overall, he’ll be very pleased with how he got on.
As for De Gea, he now hasn’t conceded in over 550 minutes of football. Not a bad way to celebrate your 25th birthday as a goalkeeper.
It’s been a massive transformation for United in defence over the last few years. We’ve gone from relying on De Gea for our clean sheets to leaving the Spaniard with not much to do during the game at all and that’s been reflected in our dominant performances in terms of possession.

There is a lot of improvement still needed in attack but if United can match that and maintain the current level of defending, we’d have everything needed to mount a Premier League title push.
