Juan Mata is heading into the international break with a smile on his face after Manchester United’s 2-0 win over West Bromwich Albion.
Mata’s late penalty sealed the win for Man United and capped off a great week after beating CSKA 1-0 on Wednesday and it sends Man United into the break in much better shape than last time.
United fans don’t need to be reminded how painfully slow the international break was last time after the 3-0 defeat to Arsenal, so there’s plenty of reason to be positive about this one.
For Mata himself, that goal against West Brom was significant as he has now scored more goals for United (19) than he did during his time at Chelsea (18). Who’s the greatest player in the Premier League? It’s you Juan Juan Juan, it’s you Juan Juan.

Mata’s not been as effective in recent games for United but, still, he manages to crop up with important goals every so often and that’s what great players can do. Juan might not have the pace or strength usually associated with a right-winger at United but his goals and assist record speak for themselves.
Jose Mourinho didn’t want him at Chelsea when he was sold to United but he’d love to have the little Spaniard back in blue right now wouldn’t he?
