Manchester United midfielder Marouane Fellaini has withdrawn from Belgium’s squad for the upcoming games against Italy and Spain due to injury.
Fellaini suffered the injury in training last week and it forced him to miss the 2-0 win against West Bromwich Albion on Saturday.
The extent of the injury is unclear but he will play no part for his country during the international break.
Fellaini will be sad to miss out as he has been in good goalscoring form for the Red Devils as of late.
The 27-year-old and Jordan Lukaku have been replaced by Gent midfielder Sven Kums and Everton forward Kevin Mirallas.
Fellaini has been used very much as a plan B by Louis van Gaal this season but the Dutchman will be keen for him to return as he provides another option when things aren’t going United’s way.
