Bastian Schweinsteiger isn’t taking any time to celebrate Manchester United’s win over Watford and is looking straight ahead to Wednesday night’s clash with PSV.
The German midfielder scored, or at the very least caused, Man United’s late winner over Watford at the weekend and you could see how much it meant to him in his wild celebrations.
Fans were over the moon to see United score a late winner but just as much they were happy to see Schweinsteiger get his richly deserved personal accolades, after his consistent performances this season even if he was somewhat slow against Watford in comparison to other games we’ve seen.

We’re really starting to see the importance of signing a player like Schweinsteiger right now. If a 31-year-old World Cup winner is willing to bust a gut to score a winner in the 90th minute, it sends a message to the whole squad – we’re all in this together as a team.
I’m sure that the psychological impact of that late winner from the draws of another draw is going to have a massively galvanising effect on everybody at the club. It was the latest winner by United since Sir Alex Ferguson left and re-kindled memories and feelings from those golden years, and the players were buzzing just as much as the fans.
That’s the feeling we need to hold onto going into the PSV game and one which Schweinsteiger clearly has every intention of making happen again if he can.
