Bastian Schweinsteiger has been named Manchester United’s November Player of the Month.
The German midfielder played in all five games during November and had goalscoring contributions in both the Watford and Leicester City games.
He earned 55% of the vote from Man United fans and Chris Smalling was in second place having got 30%.
It was in the Leicester match which Schweinsteiger scored his first official goal for Man United and with his fitness problems seemingly behind him, the 31-year-old is growing in importance at his new club.

How did we manage to sign Schweinsteiger for around £6m? In a market where true value is questioned with inflated player prices, that’s a tiny amount for a player who has added so much to our squad both in terms of quality and leadership.
Going into the busiest period of the season with injuries littered throughout our squad, the next month could be where we really see Schweinsteiger’s importance in the team coming to the fore. Who knows, maybe he’ll also be named December Player of the Month?
