Guillermo Varela has thanked God after making his Manchester United debut this weekend.
The 22-year-old replaced Paddy McNair at half-time against West Ham United to make his first appearance since joining in 2013.
Although he made a few mistakes, more than likely because of nerves, Man United fans were impressed by Varela’s performance and he was clearly delighted himself.

Varela got his first chance against West Ham but with Paddy McNair suffering an injury, he may well be thrown straight into the deep end at Wolfsburg on Tuesday because Louis van Gaal doesn’t have many other options at full-back to choose from.
Van Gaal’s continued trust in the youngsters by maintaining a small first-team squad is creating so many opportunities for our academy players and they must be pretty happy with how it’s going right now for them.
With Varela, if he does get picked to start in Germany, he’s going to have to be on-form because United simply cannot afford to lose against Wolfsburg.
