Ander Herrera has confirmed he is close to full fitness and is working hard in training back in Manchester.
The Spaniard has missed Manchester United’s recent games after picking up an injury in the win over Watford a few weeks ago and we’ve really missed him since.
We’ve got nobody else quite like Herrera in our squad and have struggled to properly replace him in midfield, so the sooner he is back from injury the better.
not a bad day to put in some hard work on the pitch. getting closer to a return. Good luck to my teammates tonight ???? pic.twitter.com/txnXANV76R

There is no word on whether Herrera will be fit enough to return for this weekend’s clash against Bournemouth but with a busy festive fixture list coming up in December, we certainly won’t be running out of games to play him in.
It’s when players are missing that you really recognise their true value to a team and although Herrera doesn’t automatically solve all of our problems in attack, he showed against Watford how valuable he is in bridging the gap between midfield and attack. No other midfielder in the current squad offers that.
Injuries have plagued United in recent weeks but with Herrera nearly back in action, Morgan Schneiderlin recovering from a minor injury and Phil Jone surely not too far away from fitness, Louis van Gaal will hopefully have a nearly fully fit squad sooner rather than later.
