Manchester United’s Marcos Rojo has undergone surgery on his dislocated shoulder and is set for an extended spell on the sidelines.
The Portuguese defender injured his shoulder in a training ground accident and it was the same shoulder which he dislocated last year against Manchester City, so Man United has taken the decision to let Rojo have surgery in order to repair the problem.
With Luke Shaw already sidelined with a serious leg injury, Rojo undergoing surgery means that Louis van Gaal doesn’t have a recognised left-back in his squad unless he displaces Daley Blind from centre-back.
It’s really not going very well for Man United at the moment. The performances are terrible and our mounting injury problems are only making it more difficult for us to recover from the lull we’re in.
With Rojo and Shaw out, Cameron Borthwick-Jackson may well be given his Premier League debut against Bournemouth following an accomplished performance away at Wolfsburg.
