Manchester United’s Bastian Schweinsteiger has received a three-match ban from the FA after accepting a charge for violent conduct.
Schweinsteiger was involved in an incident with West Ham United’s Winston Reid in the clash between the two sides last weekend which was not seen by match officials but caught on video.
It is more bad news for Man United, who suffered an early exit in the Champions League following a 3-2 defeat against Wolfsburg on Tuesday night.

The German will miss United’s games against Bournemouth, Norwich City and Stoke City and it remains to be seen how Louis van Gaal will cope.
On paper, the fixtures that Schweinsteiger will be missing don’t look too tough but United have shown this season that they are far from consistent in terms of maintaining a decent level of performance.
