Adnan Januzaj has admitted he doesn’t know if he will return to Manchester United once his loan spell at Borussia Dortmund ends.
Januzaj is yet to start a league game for Dortmund this season and was widely criticised for his performance in the Europa League defeat against PAOK this week.
The display was the culmination of a miserable few months for Januzaj, who is failing to make an impact in Germany.
When asked if he will be heading back to Man United at the end of the campaign, Januzaj said: ”I don’t know. I wanted to join somewhere I could play and there were a few things behind that were a problem but I’m happy here.
“I just need more games to play and then I’ll be fine.”
Januzaj’s decision to join Dortmund on loan has proven to be the wrong one in hindsight.
He has barely featured for the Bundesliga side having failed to displace the likes of Marco Reus and Henrikh Mkhitaryan in the starting XI. Had he joined a side lower down in the Premier League, such as Everton, who were reportedly interested, he might have seen more minutes on the pitch.
It is a desperate situation for Januzaj as United supporters would love for him to do well following his memorable breakthrough season under David Moyes. The hope is that his talent shines through but the outlook is bleak. <--Article End-->
