Player Ratings: Bournemouth 2-1 Manchester United

by Sam Peoples

David de GeaCould have been better positioned for Bournemouth’s opener. From the

Guillermo VarelaLike the rest of the defence, wasn’t good enough but don’t think he deserves individual criticism.

Daley BlindSimply pushed off the ball by Joshua King for their second. Overall, not good enough.

Paddy McNairHe had an absolute mare in defence. Looked like he would have got torn apart in an U21s game.

Cameron Borthwick-JacksonHad a good first half but a poor second half. He’s young, so it’s to be expected.

Michael CarrickThought Carrick’s passing was the main engine behind our threats going forward.

Marouane FellainiCould have had a hat-trick today really. Scored United’s equaliser and at least applied himself.

Memphis DepayDecent from Memphis today but ultimately not enough. Good to see him not cutting inside at every single opportunity.

Juan MataWhat was that Juan? An invisible performance from the Spaniard.

Jesse LingardSo low because he went off early on with an injury.

Anthony MartialFinishing simply wasn’t good enough today, end of.

Andreas Pereira 5 Didn’t make much of a difference when he came on, even though he was an early sub.

Nick PowellSame with Powell. Didn’t influence the game
