Pep Guardiola has revealed that he will provide “clarity” over his future at Bayern Munich next week.
Guardiola’s contract at the Bundesliga club runs out at the end of the season and talks over a new deal have stalled.
Manchester United are said to be among those interested in the Spaniard, along with Manchester City and Chelsea. Following Bayern’s 1-0 victory over Darmstadt at the Allianz Arena on Tuesday, Guardiola insisted he will give an update on his future soon.
“Tonight, I have no answer. Next week there will be clarity,” he said.
Guardiola has proven time and time again that he is a world-class manager and United would be wise to at least fight for his signature, with Louis van Gaal under immense pressure following back to back defeats against Wolfsburg and Bournemouth.
Of course, there is no guarantee that Guardiola would want to move to Old Trafford but the club should do all they can. It would be a disaster if he ended up somewhere like City and United chose instead to continue with van Gaal’s turgid brand of football.
