Louis van Gaal faces sack at Manchester United if he loses against Stoke City or Chelsea – report

Louis van Gaal faces the sack at Manchester United if the team loses against Stoke City or Chelsea during the Christmas period, according to the Independent’s Mark Ogden.

Van Gaal has come under intense pressure at Man United following the 2-1 defeat against Norwich City on Saturday.

The loss was United’s third in succession and the team are now without a win in their last six matches in all competitions.

Ogden claims that senior figures within the dressing room have grown tired of the Dutchman’s restrictive style of play.

Defeat against Stoke on Boxing Day or Chelsea next Monday would be the final nail in the coffin for van Gaal.

The veteran manager has not been helped by the availability of Jose Mourinho following his sacking from Chelsea and Pep Guardiola’s decision to leave Bayern Munich at the end of the campaign. Unfortunately, results simply haven’t been good enough and it’s safe to say that fans would not be sad to see van Gaal go.
