Manchester United to battle Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid for Robert Lewandowski – report

by Tanveer Arayan

Manchester United will battle Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid for the signature of Bayern Munich’s Robert Lewandowski this summer, according to reports.

Lewandowski has bagged 23 goals in 25 appearances this season, helping Bayern rise to the top of the Bundesliga table.

Mundo Deportivo claim that Man United are keen on signing the striker but that they face competition from Madrid and PSG. Bayern will reportedly listen to offers of around £51m.

It is clear that United are looking for a ‘superstar’ signing, with the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Gareth Bale and Neymar linked with moves to the club along with Lewandowski.

It appears that the club will go through wholesale changes in the coming months, as Louis van Gaal is currently facing huge pressure at Old Trafford.

Any decision on his future will impact United’s summer transfer plans and the hope for fans is that any work put in on a potential signing is not thrown away due to a change in manager.
