Manchester United full-back Luke Shaw provides positive injury update

Luke Shaw has provided a positive injury update to Manchester United supporters as he continues his recovery from a broken leg.

Shaw suffered a double fracture of his right leg following a challenge from PSV Eindhoven’s Hector Moreno in the Champions League earlier this term.

The youngster is expected to be out of action for another three months at least and it is doubtful that he will be playing regularly again this season. However, Shaw revealed that his legs feel “really good” ahead of spending some time in London for Christmas:

Shaw was one of United’s standout performers prior to his injury, with his marauding runs from deep causing havoc to opposition defences.

His absence has negatively affected large parts of the team, with Louis van Gaal having to play the likes of Cameron Borthwick-Jackson at left-back in recent weeks.

Memphis Depay, too, has seen his form suffer as a result as he had established a good understanding with Shaw. Supporters will want to see the 20-year-old back and healthy as soon as possible.
