Louis van Gaal is at the Lowry Hotel in Manchester tonight ahead of Manchester United’s game against Chelsea on Monday.
As is tradition, Man United’s squad stay in the Lowry before a match-day at Old Trafford and van Gaal’s presence all but confirms he will not be getting sacked before the Chelsea game.
There has been lots of speculation floating around suggesting van Gaal wouldn’t be in charge for Chelsea yet it looks like that won’t be the case.
Forget the rumours. Van Gaal will be managing United tomorrow. He's at The Lowry. #mufc

That being said, the Chelsea game is largely irrelevant in terms of van Gaal’s future because a win won’t all of a sudden give him job security and I think if a decision is going to be made, the result against Chelsea won’t influence it much.
The fans could certainly do with a win to inject some much needed festive cheer after what has been a miserable couple of months with so many poor results and four consecutive losses heading into the Chelsea match, but it won’t be an easy game by any stretch of the imagination regardless of their poor form.
Chelsea might be down in 15th place yet we are far from being heavy favourites because of how poor we’re playing. Will it be van Gaal’s last game in charge? Many thought Stoke would be and with each passing poor result, the calls for him to be sacked immediately are growing louder.
