Juventus plot move for Manchester United’s Matteo Darmian – report

by Ben Topliss

Juventus director Giuseppe Marotta is flying to England in an attempt to sign Manchester United’s Matteo Darmian, according to Calcio Gazzetta.

Darmian enjoyed a bright start to life at Old Trafford following his summer move from Torino but his form has dipped in recent months.

Juventus are looking to capitalise on the defender’s situation at Old Trafford and Marotta is keen on securing a deal for him.

The Old Lady would be looking to loan Darmian initially before making the deal permanent for around £11m.

It would be a huge surprise if United let Darmian leave the club so soon after him joining.

He suffered as a result of Luke Shaw’s injury earlier this term as it meant he was moved about in the starting XI. While the Italian’s form hasn’t been the best as of late, there is no doubt that he will be a solid player for United in years to come.
