Martial scored Man United’s opening goal with a well taken header following superb work from Ashley Young.
Gylfi Sigurdsson equalised for Swansea but Martial’s excellent run and ball into the box led to Wayne Rooney’s winning goal. It was a game winning display from Martial and United fans were full of praise for the Frenchman:

If I'm honest I don't care where Martial plays as long as he is on the pitch. #MUFC

Cant remember a #MUFC transfer criticised as much as Martial's recently, yet its clear that without that transfer,we'd be in deep shit.

Martial only player in the whole squad who runs at players, takes risks etc. Guy made things happen today.

Martial is one of the best strikers in the PL, without question. Really hope he reaches 15-20 goals this season, got 8 with 5 months left.

Martial is the best player we've signed since Ronaldo. He barely put a foot wrong today. Goal and an assist. He was outstanding! #mufc

There isn't anybody in the Premier League the same age as Martial that even comes close to him in terms of ability. #MakesItLookEasy

Martial has gone from strength to strength over the course of the campaign and his display against Swansea was the latest in a long line of hugely encouraging performances for him.
Aged just 20 years old, Martial is the shining light for United despite the talent at their disposal and the amount of money they have spent in recent years.
While United shouldn’t really be having to rely on such a young player, Louis van Gaal deserves credit for bringing him to the club as eyebrows were initially raised by the transfer thanks to the £36m fee.
