Borussia Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc has revealed that it was Adnan Januzaj’s decision to end his loan with the Bundesliga side early.
Januzaj returned to Manchester United this week after growing frustrated with a lack of opportunities at Dortmund.
The Belgian did not start in any of Dortmund’s Bundesliga games this term having failed to force his way past the likes of Marco Reus and Shinji Kagawa in the pecking order. Zorc admitted Januzaj’s loan “wasn’t a good deal” for Dortmund or Man United:

Januzaj will not be able to go out on loan to another team as he has played for both United and Dortmund this season.
He will have to knuckle down and work hard back at Old Trafford in order to force his way into Louis van Gaal’s thinking.
The forward was given opportunities at the start of the campaign but he failed to really grab them, despite scoring against Aston Villa. In any case, he will add another option to United’s attack, which has been limp for the majority of the campaign.
