Preston North End interested in Ben Pearson loan move – report

by Tanveer Arayan

Preston North End are keen on taking Manchester United’s Ben Pearson on loan, according to the Daily Mail.

Pearson is currently back at Man United having recently returned to Old Trafford following a loan spell with Barnsley.

The midfielder impressed at Oakwell and he is said to be the subject of interest from a number of Championship clubs, as well as Bournemouth.

Preston scouts attended Man United U21’s clash against Tottenham Hotspur on Monday night to watch Nick Powell, who had to miss the match due to injury, but they would have also seen Pearson in action.

Pearson is known as a tenacious midfielder and he has earned positive reviews for his displays but it is not clear where he will spend the second half of the campaign.

United recently let Ashley Fletcher and Sam Johnstone join Barnsley and Preston on loan, respectively. They will not want Pearson to stagnate at the club and it is likely that he will go the same way. Whether he follows in Johnstone’s footsteps and joins Preston remains to be seen.
