Manchester United plan £65m bid for Chelsea’s Eden Hazard – report

Manchester United are planning a £65m move for Chelsea forward Eden Hazard, according to the Daily Star.

Man United have reportedly turned to Hazard after losing faith that Real Madrid’s Gareth Bale will move to Old Trafford next summer.

Hazard has suffered a disastrous campaign with Chelsea and it is likely that he will not be playing in the Champions League next season.

United, Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich are all said to be keen on offering the Belgian an escape from Stamford Bridge.

However, Chelsea hope that appointing their former striker Didier Drogba as first-team coach will persuade Hazard to stay at the club.

The forward hasn’t been in the best of form this season but one year doesn’t make a bad player and the fact remains that he is a world-class talent.

Hazard would go a long way to providing the “speed and creativity” that Louis van Gaal has been looking to add to his side. However, United will face a battle on their hands to convince Chelsea to sell arguably their best player to a direct Premier League rival.
