Lazio’s Felipe Anderson has refused to rule out a move to Manchester United in the January transfer window.
Anderson has been heavily linked to Man United for a number of months now and the club have reportedly made their move for the Brazilian in recent weeks.
When quizzed on the subject on Saturday, Anderson was far from effusive in his commitment to Lazio:
Lazio director Igli Tare recently confirmed that United had a €50m bid for Anderson rejected in the summer and the player’s comments would suggest that Louis van Gaal has revived his interest.
Tare’s comments may be an attempt to bump his price up or simply a hands off warning – time will tell.
Anderson is young, quick and a tricky customer and he would inject some much needed attacking impetus into the squad if he did come to Old Trafford. United were crying out for ideas in the recent 1-0 victory over Sheffield United and they only made it through the FA Cup tie by the skin of their teeth following Wayne Rooney’s late penalty.
